This Policy explains cookies and similar technologies used by StampyMalta and stampy.mt. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.

iOS app
On the Stampy iOS app, only strictly necessary cookies required for the service to function (session management and the user’s consent preference itself) are used. Analytics, advertising and other non-essential cookies are not collected or enabled. Because those categories are not used, a cookie preference centre is not shown inside the iOS app. The remainder of this Policy describes the website (stampy.mt) and any other non-iOS environments.

1. What these technologies are

1.1 Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, software identifiers and mobile advertising identifiers. Because Stampy is a web app, the exact mechanism can vary by browser, device and installation method.

2. Your choices

2.1 On the website, Stampy’s consent controls offer an equally accessible choice to accept or reject non-essential technologies. Essential technologies operate because the service cannot function securely without them. Google Analytics remains disabled unless and until analytics consent is given. Advertising storage requiring consent remains disabled unless that consent is given. You may withdraw or change consent through the cookie or privacy controls; you can also remove stored data through browser or device settings.

On the Stampy iOS app, only necessary cookies are used, and the preference centre is not displayed, because analytics and advertising cookies are not enabled.

3. Google Analytics

3.1 Google Analytics helps us measure visits, feature use, errors and general performance. It is activated only after analytics consent. Google Analytics identifiers may include _ga and _ga_*, retained for up to two years; _gid, retained for 24 hours; _gat, retained for one minute; and _gac_*, retained for 90 days. Analytics remains disabled unless and until the user gives consent.

4. Google Mobile Ads

4.1 Stampy may use Google advertising services. Depending on the live configuration, the user’s consent choices and applicable law, advertisements may be personalised, non-personalised or limited. Google may use cookies, advertising identifiers or similar storage for ad delivery, frequency capping, reporting, security and fraud prevention. We obtain consent before non-essential storage or access where required and pass applicable consent signals to Google. We do not enable behavioural advertising for users known to be under the applicable age of consent.

5. Third parties and maps

5.1 Google, Apple and other authentication providers may use their own essential technologies when you choose their sign-in method. MapLibre is used to display the map and OpenStreetMap supplies base-map data. Stampy serves map tiles through its own infrastructure and does not currently retain users’ IP addresses from map-tile requests. The map is not used by us to set advertising cookies.

6. Keeping the list accurate

6.1 Cookie names and durations can change when providers or configurations change. We review the cookie and storage list after material changes and update the consent panel and this table. A technology requiring consent will not be activated unless that consent has been received.

7. Contact
